Villa Aegeria
Terra studio signs a renovation project of a roman villa on the Appia Antica road.
Renovation project of a Roman villa from the 40s immersed in the beautiful landscape of the Appia Antica Park. The interior design project favors the use of materials that strongly recall the Roman tradition of noble palaces: marbles, natural lime plasters, hand-painted orientalist wallpapers, terracotta and wood create a scenography that mixes tradition and modernity.
The project involved the use of different types of marble, including our classic travertine. In the custom-made kitchen, the dark wood paneling is broken up by the insertion of large niches in travertine in strata. Elements in solid travertine were inserted as cornerstones in the walls or even as handrails of the parapets. In the guest bathroom, a circular freestanding sink was obtained from a single block.
